As the first laureate in 1999 of the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival International Piano Solo Competition, Leo Tardin has paved the way to a new generation of Swiss pianists. After releasing five albums with his Grand Pianoramax project, with which he has performed all over the world, he has primarily devoted himself to his new solo project. In order to do so, he recorded twenty concerts, and has carefully selected the very best moments. The chosen tracks have been gathered under the title Collection, a triple album with several supplements (a songbook, video tutorials and downloadable alternate takes). Leo Tardin has also collaborated with artists including Roy Ayers, Erik Truffaz, Burhan Öçal, Maria João, Paula Oliveira, Grégoire Maret, Spleen, etc. He lived ten years in New York, where he graduated from the New School University, followed by two years in Berlin, before returning to his hometown, Geneva.
